What’s been your best experience with WordPress?
Picking up a small contract over Twitter to build a WordPress plugin has led me into my current full-time job. WordPress has also been my introduction to the world of speaking at conferences, which I never thought I would have enjoyed (public speaking, aah!!) but really do love.
Tell us a bit about your WordCamp Halifax talk.
Working in a web browser can be slow. There’s lots of clicking from screen to screen to get things done. Working from the command line can be much faster. Did you know that WordPress has it’s own command line interface, WP-CLI? I’ll show you how to use it to speed up many tasks you do while creating and maintaining your site. Get ready to have your mind blown.
What’s your favourite thing about attending WordCamps?
Meeting people in person who I’ve only ever interacted with online. How much do you REALLY look like your avatar?
Recommend one to three people in the WordPress world to follow on social media!
Only 3? Hmm…. I’ll have to go with Josh Pollack (@josh412), Tom McFarlin (@tommcfarlin), and Rachel Carden (@bamadesigner)
If you could have any superhero power, what would it be?
Writing bug free code on the first try.
