I\u2019ve been on the Internet since the dial-up modem days and Netscape beta. Now I\u2019m amazed with how far things have come since the 90s. While my music tastes may be stuck in the 80s, let\u2019s do WordPress web design like it\u2019s 2018.<\/p>\n
The WordPress community is super helpful, open to sharing solutions and best practices. When I run into a technical problem, there is always somewhere to turn. A quick Google search usually gives me the answer or opinions I need on WordPress or on blogs dedicated to WordPress.<\/p>\n
I’m going to talk about how the Divi theme makes WordPress website design fast and fun. I spent a long time deciding what premium Theme to invest in and glad I went with this one. Like the supportive community of WordPress, Divi has it’s own great network of official and unofficial support channels using lots of different mediums (Blogs, YouTube channels and Facebook groups).<\/p>\n
My first WordCamp was the first Halifax WordCamp. MASSIVE VALUE is my favorite thing: variety of topics, informative panels, steady supply of coffee, lots of swag, nice lunch and great after party.<\/p>\n
Every time I design a WordPress site, I like that when I do the client hand-over, they are able to take care of their own content. That is the real role of a Content Management System, to make it easy for users to modify and publish their own content. I’m proud to see them do it on their own. They really only need to come back to me for major changes, you know, the fun stuff \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
