What’s been your best experience with WordPress?
I think that the aggregate experience I’ve had with WordPress has been my best experience. Allowing me to build a website without many of the expertise required and in less time has been a game changer.
Tell us a bit about your WordCamp Halifax talk.
Building a website is exciting, but building it is only the beginning. You want your website to do what it was intended to do, whether it is generate leads, attract new customers, or engage current ones to retain them – and the only way to do it is with data. You’ve probably heard this before, but it is true what doesn’t get measured can’t be improved. While it can be challenging to know where to start and to identify what isn’t working, improvements can be made more efficiently and have a bigger impact when you have the right data to guide the way. I will walk you through the basics of Google Analytics, and how to use it. But most importantly I will provide you with a framework to help you simplify and make your data more actionable, to optimize and improve your site.
What’s your favourite thing about WordCamps, or if your first one… what are you looking forward to?
It is my first ever WordCamp, and I am really looking forward to it. I am passionate about helping people, especially the ones that want to be better everyday. I am hoping to share my expertise in marketing and data analytics to help everyone get the most out of their websites – but I am also extremely excited to meet new people with different challenges.
